Skin-Care Tips
by Brenda Moe

Day Cream:
80% of premature skin-ageing caused by UVrays (responsible for breaking down collagen protein and elastin fibres in skin.) Wear a day cream with SPF, antioxidants and ceramides to help protect and seal in moisture.
Tips:
Estee Lauder DayWear Plus Antioxidant Cream SPF15. Excellent moisturiser with every ingredient your skin needs.
Inexpensive buy: Olay Total Effects 7x SPF15

Night Cream:
helps to revive and decongest skin.
Tips:
Guerlain Issima Midnight Secret
M.D. Formulations Night Recovery Complex. Recommended as 'sleep in a bottle'

Cleanser/Toner/Exfoliator:
Toning removes the greasiness remaining from cleansing preparations, closes open pores refines the skin giving it a smooth clean texture.
Tips:
M.D. Formulations Facial Cleanser all- in-one gently cleanses the skin, removes dead surface cells, leaving the skin softer, smoother and more receptive to moisturiser.Wonderful product!

Skin Primer:
Recommended before foundation to help tighten and smooth the skin, and give a long lasting make-up base.
Tips:
Clarins Beauty Flash has consistently come out 'Best in Test' in Beauty Editors Make-Up polls. Christian Dior Capture R Flash Lift also highly recommended.

Foundation:
Foundation should look like a better version of your own skin by evening out skin tone. Concealer comes into its own too, to help disguise dark circles and other skin imperfections like broken capillaries and blemishes. Apply sparingly. Get a 'flawless' skin with using primer first, followed by foundation and concealer. Product with light- reflecting pigments recommended. Very important to get foundation shade and consistency just right for your skin-colour and type. Most crucial step in make-up
application and often the most difficult step to get just right!

Lip Primer:
Applied before lipstick to smooth out fine lines and prevent lipstick 'bleeding'. Not a necessity but a good idea if lips are particularly dry/flaky. Otherwise use a lipbalm.

Spots and blemishes:
A deep-cleansing facial is the first step and follow
up with a good home-routine which adresses the needs of a 'problem or combination type skin'
Tips:
M.D. Formulations Skin Perfection Gel. An invisible gel for speedy 'spot-busting'. Ideal for the odd premenstrual spot.
