American Accent
Still cookin' after all these years! NOK 50, while supplies
last! Written in commemoration of the Club's 60th anniversary in 1994,
American Accent is a cookbook, reference book, story book, and more! Recipes
in the book are from AWC members and have been adjusted to the necessities of
cooking in a Norwegian kitchen with Norwegian ingredients. With a cross-referenced
index, information is easy to find. And the attractive "wipe-clean"
cover with metal spiral binding make it easy to use. Delightful to read
are two entertaining anecdotes written by Club members. They describe entertaining
at home in the 1960s and in the 1990s - what to expect, what not to do, and what
you shouldn't forget to do. In the back of the book are helpful conversion
tables including not only the usual temperature and weight and volume charts,
but baking pan equivalents, butter measurements, and can sizes. There's even a
list of the Norwegian name for spices. Finally, there are a few inspiring
recipes at the end, like the following: Pick up your copy of American
Accent at the next AWC meeting, while supplies last! At NOK 50, it's
a real steal! |
